Guy Michael Smith to some, Guy Michaels to most, is a husband, father, grandfather, son and brother who loves Jesus Christ, his family and his friends. Guy is the creator of many different ventures and businesses that have been both huge successes and massive failures! Born in 1967 to parents Arvis and Wanda Smith, Guy grew up in the safety and security of a loving home, a country that cared more about is people than its politics and the watchful eye of the ONE who created him. Both he and his brother Brad, were fortunate enough to grow up in the 1970’s and 80’s in the town of Arlington Texas.
Guy Michaels is currently enjoying success with his popular Comedy Hypnosis show in Gatlinburg Tennessee and has enjoyed the #1 rank on TripAdvisor for the last few years. When he is not performing in Tennessee he is performing in other locations such as Six Flags in Washington D.C. and Six Flags in Chicago, IL. as well as others. Guy is also a board certified Hypnotherapist who see’s people individually for things such as grief, stress, depression and anxiety.
In 1995 Guy founded The Guy Michaels Production Group, Inc., a convention and concert production company. Guy has traveled all over the world as a lighting designer and audio visual / concert producer. Mr. Michaels is also the co-creator and founder of “Scream ‘N Shout: Kids with Character”, a nationally recognized elementary school character assembly program, that traveled the nation from 2009 – 2011.
In 2007, Guy miraculously overcame staggering odds after undergoing surgery to remove a tumor from the right side his brainstem. The prognosis was not good and Guy was facing some serious choices. The brain tumor, an Acoustic Neuroma and it’s removal, would ultimately end up changing Guy’s life forever. In the months prior to surgery, Guy asked God that if he could be allowed to live through the ordeal, that he would dedicate what was left of his life to the mission of helping others. God honored that prayer! Since then, Guy has defined himself as someone who “wanted to repay so much that he had been given” by sharing the precious gifts that God has shown him since his episode. Upon months of recovery, he has embarked on his quest to serve that mission.
Guy has succeeded in living a life through his businesses, productions, and entertainment. However, he was always reminded of the simple lessons in life that his parents, Arvis and Wanda, have bestowed upon him. “When faced with life’s challenges, our choices truly are what define our character.” Guy said. This is the motto that both of his parents drilled into his head, starting at a very early age.

“The reason I do what I do, is because I was given a second chance at life. I was supposed to be forever changed, physically, from the brain tumor, yet, I wasn’t. I made a deal, a promise, a pact; whatever you want to call it, but I decided that if I get out of this alive, I want to give back. What better way to give back than to share what I have learned with anyone who will listen?”
